mountain hare. from a really fun dream that i had this morning. my sister was riding atop this creature as it bounded effortlessly up a mountain towards a futuristic homestead in the clouds. i’ll finish it eventually but i absolutely needed to do a quick sketch so that i wouldn’t forget such an awesome dream.
mountain hare movement, animation test. the way he hopped effortlessly up the mountain in my dream reminded me of the way that Yakul moved in Princess Mononoke…
the back story: there once was a hamster named Corn. and there once was an illustrator that couldn’t spell too good. one day the illiterate illustrator thought that poor little Klrn had died. later, while grieving and shopping online for a sugar glider or perhaps even a hedgehog, the idiot noticed a triumphant ham-paw emerging from the fluff in search of a blueberry. and thus… KLRN LIVES!
also, anyone need a sugar glider?
my submission for The Baltimore Portrait Project. my subject was Annette Horan. her favorite color is purple, her scariest memory is hiking on an active volcano with her family, a criminal once stole her cell phone, and if she could have a super power it would be the ability to create and manipulate fire. oh, and her daughter is really tall!
just comparing apples to pumpkins, is all.
"4 Horsemen" design for Sticky Rice Baltimore’s 4th birthday party bash spectacular! in dog years they’re finally old enough to rent a car!
